Letter from the Chapter

Tri Delta is an assembly of women with shared values where you can be yourself and belong to something bigger. We are brave, bold and kind. We are passionate about serving others, committed to becoming the best version of ourselves and dedicated to helping women live, learn and lead – with Purpose – for a lifetime.

As a sorority, Stanford Tri Delta recognizes the institutional racism and classism that exists in Greek life. We are currently working with both ISC and Tri Delta Nationals to create a systemic reform and address the harms of Greek life. For example, we have successfully lobbied to change the national Tri Delta by-laws to be gender-neutral, but there is so much more we need to work on. We cannot be blind to the inherent problems of being a Greek organization, and we are dedicated to affecting positive, meaningful change in the system.

We have defined several values that mean a lot to our chapter.

Diversity: Stanford Tri Delta welcomes people from all backgrounds. grounds. We believe diversity is the key to having a healthy, safe, and equitable community and are committed to making our sorority accessible to everyone. Tri Delta is defined by its community that holds countless social, cultural, and economic identities. We are dedicated to ensuring that Tri Delta is a space where everyone finds a sense of belonging.

Community: Tri Delta is a home where everyone is seen, valued, and loved for their authentic and whole selves. Our community is the reason why we love Tri Delta. We support and love one another through both the highs and lows of life, and we are proud of the strong friendships that bond our chapter together.

Philanthropy: We hope to make positive changes to the communities around us—both on and off Stanford’s campus. Tri Delta partners with St. Jude, a children’s cancer research hospital that provides free care for its patients. Across the nation, Tri Delta has raised more than $75 million for healthcare equity. Our chapter is dedicated to serving both St. Jude and our local community.
